Art Studio has courses for kids and teens

The kids have fun while still learning in a very constructive environment. Children will acquire skills through new techniques and processes using a wide range of tools, learn about  new materials, and create projects that express their thoughts and personality. Providing parents engaging art and play kids workshops and resources to develop resilience in their children. Every child’s strengths and talents are unique; at My Art Space, we allow everyone to express themselves through our fun and creative art lessons. The team at Little Art Big Art are big on sharing art skills to all ages, but we also know it is important to create a happy, fun filled and safe environment.
Art classes at Flying Fox Studios are run on an opt-in basis for each new term (bookings don't automatically carry over from one term to the next). All places are offered for each new term on a first come, first served basis. Their progressive programs have inspired kids throughout the Las Vegas Community for many years and now are even nurturing the creative talents of their children. As a minimum, beginning oil painting students may spend about $30 for a canvas board (depending on the size of the canvas board for their project). Painting students can store their painting materials with the Perth Art Group. Students who already have paints and materials, or who purchase painting materials during the course, are expected to bring them, and use them within the class. This applies to beginners, as well as to returning (re-enrolling) students. Class fees will be refunded if there is a cancellation made by the student before the normal starting day of the course for which the student has enrolled.
Classes in our art school are available on weekday after school and Saturdays. If you cannot find a slot that fits your schedule, please contact us to join our waitlist for other days and times. Our grandchildren have been going to Heather's classes during the school holidays for years now.

We’re proud to offer a selection of Monmartre art supplies right here in our studio. Intro to Java coding course is ideal for Y5 – Y11 students with no prior coding experience. Highly recommended to those kids  who enjoy digital art and video games. Students will embark on an exciting journey to design and develop polished games inspired by such hits like Geometry Dash, Minecraft Platformer, Flappy Bird, T-Rex Run and many others.
This approach allows artists to practice the process in their own time, fine-tuning their skills and applying them to other aspects of learning. Scratch Advanced coding course consists of four levels (10 lessons per level) and 28 exciting projects. Students learn how to create fun polished games such as Putt Putt, Hoop Jump, Scratch-Craft, Flight Simulator, and Tiny Tanks by implementing fundamental programming logic, mathematics, variables, lists, and functions. Students design sophisticated applications like Baby Yoda Trainers, 3D Printer Simulators, and Binary Calculators. ART4KIDS was started by Primary School Teacher Julie Phillips. Julie saw the need for after school art classes in South Perth that caters for children who already enjoy art and craft well as those wanting to learn.

The first class may be filled with nerves and not knowing anyone or the teacher, so best to give it two classes so you can settle into the space, meet the people and get a better feeling for our class structure. The basic course at The Pottery Shed for beginners is comprised of three 2-hour classes covering throwing, trimming and glazing. Students are then encouraged to develop their skills through returning sessions until they understand the process. They can also add advanced skills during weekly Master Classes in large vessel throwing, hand-building, pottery decorations and mould-making with slip-casting. My son's experience with the Academy programs has been truly remarkable. After each class he would come home so inspired and excited to tell me all about the artist he learned about.

Each session is run by their warm and genuine qualified Art Therapist with the support of their support workers to give your child the support they need to encourage participation, social interaction and skill development. All materials are included and an end of term student exhibition opening celebration with a kids art display. Kids Music and Moves cultural classes are more than just a music and dance class. Preschoolers first learn where Australia is on the globe and as the program progresses, they learn traditional dances from around the world, as well as singing songs and rhymes about native animals from that country.
We explore the artwork of various artists and use them as inpiration in our own art making. Art Hideaway is a nurturing and supportive creative space where budding artists can enjoy the peaceful environment of a beautiful garden in a quiet and artistic setting. Your kids can dive into drawing, painting, sculpting, sewing, printing and more — while sharpening their problem-solving skills, building confidence, and making awesome new friends. Term programs run four times a year, and generally align with school terms with one-hour classes taking place each week over 8 weeks. While DIY woodwork may be hard for the young ones, they can go for fun, lighter activities such as Taka painting and Pabalat Pastillas Papercutting. Another great thing about them is that they also offer seasonal pottery sessions that include themes or other activities such as rug making.

Since joining her class 2 years ago, my son has improved in his sense of creativity, observation skills and hands on ability, not to mention he’d also made lots of new friends and had a tonne of fun every week. Our art classes, designed for children ages 6-12, are specifically geared towards building creativity, growth mindset, and self-esteem. Marco Corsini (B.Ed.-Visual Arts and Master Of Creative Arts, University of Melbourne) specialises in painting and drawing. Our approach not only fosters creativity and imagination but also helps kids manage anxiety and develop resilience in the face of challenges.
