These parent payments are vital to our students, and ensure the adequate resourcing of our classrooms. Oakleigh South Primary School is a designated neighbourhood government school with an approved enrolment restriction in place. Our enrolment process follows the Department of Education’s Placement Policy and the statewide Prep enrolment timeline, ensuring all applications are managed fairly and consistently across Victorian government schools. We run school holiday sessions at one of our centres during long day care centres oakleigh the term break for interested families.

As part of our Oakleigh Grammar Junior School Quartet and at the heart of our Reggio Emilia inspired approach to early childhood education, we view the child as a competent and capable citizen. The School will finalise enrolments at the end of July each calendar year. If places are still available, they will be offered based on residential proximity to the school. If you have a child starting in 2027, Prep Enrolments open on Monday, 20th April and all forms with the supporting documents must be submitted by Friday, 31st July, 2026.

Enrolling your child/ren with Oakleigh Primary School’s OSHC Service has never been easier. We’re excited to meet you and your child and can’t wait to introduce you to our Teacher and Educator Team and show you around our centre on . Breakfast time provides a great chance for you to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.
You can speak with the team about what’s important for your child for the day and what happened the night before at home. State and territory regulatory authorities visit services to undertake quality assessment and rating, support quality improvement, monitor compliance, and investigate complaints and incidents.

The building also includes rooms for Monash's Maternal and Child Health service, and a multipurpose room that will be home to the Oakleigh South Girl Guides and other community groups. Oakleigh Primary School and Kindergarten’s School Council-managed Out of School Hours Care Service (OSHC Service) operates on-site during the school term and is available to all students from Foundation to Year 6. Whether you need a few hours each week to work, run errands, attend appointments, or simply recharge, we’re here to help.
We built an integrated children’s centre for the Oakleigh South Child and Family Hub. As well as providing a new kindergarten, the centre offers maternal and children’s health services for local families and a multi-purpose room for the local community. Welcome to Our Kids, we are childcare services provide quality care and learning experiences for children from 6 months to 6 years old.
You can apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) in 2027 from Monday 20 April 2026. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer placement to out of zone students. Please note that if you cancel your first or last attendance inside our cancellation policy within a 14 week period, then CCS may not be applied and families may be charged in full for this session.
